What Main Street Youth Center Provides for this Community
After School Outreach

Pizza, or sandwich of their choice, chips, snacks, drink, and tutoring at no cost

Wednesday Devotions
​​​
Memorial Baptist Men's Group provides short devotions for the after-school group, encouraging and challenging the youth in all life circumstances.
Senior Banquet
​​​
An event that provides dinner for the seniors in our Black community. History and events are recorded by the Murray Electric channel for viewing.
Tuesday
​​​
MSU Honors Student Counsel provides crafts and educational activities for the after-school program on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
Murray State Students and Retired Teachers

These individuals provide after-school tutoring for students who need help with homework.
Juvenile Community Service Hours
​​​
Main Street Youth Center also prides itself on the work it completes in a joint effort with the Calloway County Court System to help rehabilitate at-risk youth through its community service program. This program has youth that are at high risk. The program mentors youth with high anxiety, anger management, and alcohol and drug abuse with the use of support to the community in various areas of service. We are the only agency that has provided this type of service to the youth of this community for over 25 years.
Homeschool Groups

Homeschooling parents and youth use the facility on Thursday evenings.
Easter and Christmas Programs

These programs allow youth to enjoy the birth and resurrection of Jesus with songs, poems, drama, and skits. We provide a fellowship for families.
